World Technology Evaluation Center, Inc.

The World Technology Evaluation Center, Inc. is a non-profit scientific research institute, spun off from Loyola College in 2001. It operated as the International Technology Research Institute division of Loyola from 1989 to 2000. It is incorporated in Delaware, and is registered to conduct business in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, where it has branch offices. It is recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS to serve the nation by conducting scientific research. Its administrative office is in Lancaster, PA under Dr. Duane Shelton, President. Operations are conducted through three divisions: WTEC Division led by Dr. Michael DeHaemer; ScienceUS Division led by Dr. Vitalius (Ben) Benokraitis; and the USA Research Services Division led by Dr. Arthur Riehl.

The World Technology Evaluation Center performs research for Federal clients, and leads the industry in international research assessments.  It also conducts workshops, provides IT support, and provides on-site research personnel through its WTEC and USARS divisions.  Its ScienceUS division promotes American leadership in science and engineering from private donations.  A related small business, National Science and Technology Services, LLC, assists in its mission.
